I am hoping to get a couple of my Fall/Halloween items made this weekend/next week....and I want to get something made to give away on my facebook page....a little contest of sorts...
But definitely I want to get a couple of halloween goodies finished....I've been lagging lately..Guess because of the heat...but I just haven't had much energy to do my prims....I MISS it, too! My oven that I prim my stuff with is out in my garage, along with all my other crafting supplies and it has just been too hot to get out there and do much....but hopefully I'll be able to get back in the swing of things and do a couple of new patterns too! I have gotten so many SWEET emails from people who are asking for new items or patterns....Just wanted you all to know that I have NOT stopped my primmin' business :) I will get back in the game soon.....Hopefully I will start this weekend!!!!!!

Yes.....it is HOT here in Tennessee....I love my air conditioner....LOL....I honestly don't know how people survived without electricity and air back in the old days.....I am very thankful for my air & lights :)
Also glad I don't have to go wash clothes at the creek! lol......so I am off to go buy laundry soap!!

You have all been so AWESOME to me during the time I lost my Daddy.....although I will NEVER get over him....I miss everything about him...
I DO appreciate all of your emails and phone calls and kind words.....it means a lot to me & to my mom & sister. We are still grieving and I am sure we will be for years to come....He was the one who taught me how much we need to cherish the old antique things in life...learn about your heritage and where you come from...respect your elders and learn from them......He taught me about God....He taught me about how important family is and to always fight for what you want and believe in! The list of the things he taught me could go on and on....but the bottom line is....I am determined to keep him with me....he will always be in my heart..a part of my soul forever......I miss him deeply......

I have noticed a couple of sellers on eBay who are still getting away with selling e-patterns! As many of you sellers of e-patterns know by now, eBay stopped us from selling digital downloaded e-patterns some time ago.....I know that I had a lot of my e-patterns REMOVED by eBay before I had time to get them removed myself.
Anyway.....I am just wondering why this seller here is able to get away with selling her e-patterns on eBay ...PDF file (adobe) which is EMAILED to the customer!!!??? Why is she getting to and none of the rest of us??
Pass this link on......let me know if you think I read it wrong....but it CLEARLY states in her auctions that it is an E-MAIL PATTERN TO BE EMAILED!!!!

You can list digital delivered goods in the CLASSIFIED AD's on eBay for an outrageous price per month, but you are still NOT able to do any transactions through eBay....the buyer has to email you about the goods and do the transaction outside of eBay.....really a DUMB rule...but one that we ALL have to go by now......Not fair that this seller is able to continue to sell her e-patterns and the rest of us NOT!!
I have reported the listings, but nothing has been done....Maybe if MORE of us report, they will do something?????????

Just my thoughts.....But I feel if one of us can get away with it, then WHY NOT THE REST OF US who had to STOP or be kicked off of eBay for doing it!!!!??? :)

Will it be OK for us all to list our patterns like this? If so, then why do they remove some of ours and none of others?? I am a little confused I guess.....

Ok.....I am finished.....for now!! Just had to vent!! :)

This site has made such an impact on me & the way I feel! It is TOTALLY AMAZING to GIVE!!!!
You would be so surprised at the way you feel if you just give ONE thing a day....and it doesn't have to mean that you go out and buy something & give it away....it means just simply GIVE.....you could give your place in line at the grocery store...You could send an old friend a card, or give some advise! Just wanted to share my sister's primitive goods with you! If you don't already know, and most of you DO already know ...But Donna, of moonchildsprimitives.com is my SISTER...and the BEST Sister ever ;)
She inspires me so much...Since I can remember she has been so crafty! She can paint ANYTHING!! I love her style....she is one of the biggest inspirations for me as an artist, a mother, and just a person all together.......I could not have picked a better sister if I would have had the chance to choose!! Of course when we were little we could NOT stand each other..lol...I remember thinking "IF SHE touches me ONE MORE TIME I will die of sister poisoning!!!" LOL....well as you well know, that did NOT happen! HAHA...sometimes I wonder how we survived childhood lol......We used to play "Bewitched"....I was always Samantha, and she was Endora..hehe...she almost broke her elbow "popping in" like Endora always did on Samantha...Only my sister "endora" popped in on some ICE....and slid, and almost broke her elbow!!! LOL...I remember laughing SO hard....LOL...she was mad at me for laughing at her, but I just couldn't help it!! And of course NOW we both can laugh....cause there were no broken bones after all...hehe......she also gave me a good scar between the eyes using a Folgers coffee can!!! :) I just happened to be UNDER the bed hiding from her & my mom...(not sure why, but it was because I had done something mean..lol...Donna was determined to get me OUT from under the bed...Folgers not only wakes you up when you put it in your cup, but it also BRINGS YOU OUT FROM UNDER A BED!!! They need to add that to their commercials...lol
Anyway, like me, she took a break from her primitives for a while....but she is BACK with a BANG.....:) Halloween is her specialty!! Something else we have in common!! The love for Halloween!!! :)

News from the Ridge :)

I hope this finds you all doing great!!

It has been a rat race around my house lately! But I am still here, so I can't complain :)
We had our annual Irish Day celebration over the weekend...We had a great time! The kids always love it...:) Some of the small town festivities that I enjoy every year..the annual parade..always fun to watch..the rides, and the vendors that set up every year to sell their goods! It is so important to support local businesses & crafters, but it is also a hard time for everybody! Anyway, we all had fun!! My son Jacob marched in the parade with the Houston County High School band! I am so proud of him!! He is growing up too fast though!!! :(

Kolbi had fun spending my money on silly hats..lol...and cotton candy!!!

I just loved this picture below! I took it while she was on the ride & it was going fast...:) It's Kolbi riding a ride with her little boyfriend, Aiden..lol...too cute!!!!

And here is a sweet picture of Jacob & his girlfriend, Aubrey :)

I will close for now....time to run some errands, then get back home! Its a rainy day in Tennessee today!!! :)
